Jake Paul confirms boxing return for Christmas Eve fight in Dubai

Jake Paul will return to boxing on December 24, more than year after breaking his jaw against Anthony Joshua

Jake Paul has confirmed he will return to professional boxing on December 24, ending an absence of more than a year following the broken jaw he suffered in his December 2025 fight against former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer will compete in Dubai on Christmas Eve, although his opponent has not yet been announced. Paul said there were several potential names being considered but that a contract was still to be signed.

“We’ve got plenty of names on the list; let’s see who signs the contract. Merry Christmas, Dubai. Santa Paul is coming to town, and somebody’s getting knocked out,” he said.

Jake Paul returns after Anthony Joshua defeat

Paul last fought in December 2025, when he faced British boxer Joshua in what was considered one of the toughest challenges of his boxing career. Joshua knocked Paul down in the fifth round before securing a knockout victory in the sixth.

The defeat left Paul with a broken jaw. He subsequently suggested that he might never fight again, particularly while his injury had not fully healed. His latest announcement confirms that he intends to return to the ring.

Paul currently holds a professional boxing record of 12 wins and two defeats. Several potential opponents have previously been linked to him, including KSI, Tommy Fury and former UFC fighter Darren Till.

Fury handed Paul his first professional defeat, and the pair have continued exchanging remarks about a possible rematch.

KSI has also been linked to a potential fight with Paul following their long-running rivalry, which began through their YouTube careers. However, KSI has said he has retired from boxing.

Till remains another name associated with a possible bout, having moved into boxing after leaving the UFC. For now, Paul's opponent for the Dubai event remains unconfirmed.
