Justin and Hailey Bieber accused of evicting Carl Lentz’s family after cheating scandal
The ex-Hillsong pastor alleges that his family had to leave the couple's New York apartment following his 2020 scandal

Justin and Hailey Bieber have been accused of abruptly asking former Hillsong pastor Carl Lentz and his family to leave their New York apartment following his 2020 infidelity scandal.
The allegations were detailed in a new book, Overcoming Infidelity: 10 Conversations to Help You Heal the Hurt, written by Carl and his wife, Laura Lentz, and published on October 20.
As reported by Daily Mail, Laura recalled that the couple had initially allowed the family to stay in their apartment while they explored housing options in Brooklyn.
However, the offer was reportedly withdrawn after news of Carl’s marital infidelity emerged.
Laura said somebody from Justin’s team contacted them and instructed them to leave within 24 hours.
The family, including their three children, Ava, Charlie and Roman, hurriedly packed their belongings into a rented vehicle.
Carl described the experience as a “kick to the ribs” while he was already dealing with the fallout from his dismissal from Hillsong Church over “moral failures”.
He also acknowledged his responsibility, writing, “I deserved to be kicked to the curb, but I felt Laura and the kids were just innocent bystanders suffering once again for my sins.”
The former pastor admitted the scandal damaged his close friendship with Justin and dragged the singer and Hailey into a “publicity nightmare they never asked for.”
Carl and Laura also credited actor Tyler Perry with supporting their family when many friends remained silent.
Justin and Carl's friendship dated back to 2008, with the singer briefly living with the Lentz family in 2014.
