Connor Storrie in talks to join Ryan Gosling in Marvel’s 'Ghost Rider'
Connor Storrie is in talks to join Ryan Gosling in Marvel's 'Ghost Rider' following his 'Heated Rivalry' breakthrough

Connor Storrie is in talks to star alongside Ryan Gosling in Marvel Studios’ upcoming Ghost Rider film, marking a major career opportunity for the actor following his breakout role in the hockey drama series Heated Rivalry.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Storrie is negotiating to join the superhero project, which will be directed by Shawn Levy. The filmmaker reunites with Gosling after their collaboration on Star Wars: Starfighter, with Jonathan Tropper serving as the screenwriter.
Marvel has not confirmed Gosling’s character, although he is widely expected to portray Johnny Blaze, the motorcycle stunt performer who becomes Ghost Rider after making a deal with the devil. In Marvel comics, Blaze becomes bonded with a demon named Zatharos and transforms into a supernatural figure with a flaming skull and a fiery motorcycle.
The identity of the villain Storrie may play remains unknown. Ghost Rider has faced several demonic adversaries in the comics, including Mephisto. Previous film adaptations starring Nicolas Cage featured Mephisto and his son, Blackheart, while Sacha Baron Cohen portrayed Mephisto in the Disney+ series Ironheart.
Production on Ghost Rider is expected to take place in New York next year. Linus Sandgren, known for his cinematography work, has reportedly joined the project, which is expected to be filmed on celluloid.
Marvel Studios announced the film at San Diego Comic-Con in July, setting a theatrical release date of July 28, 2028. Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Stephen Broussard, Levy and Gosling are among the producers, with Richie Palmer and Jessie Henderson serving as executive producers.
Storrie rose to prominence in 2025 through Heated Rivalry, in which he plays Russian hockey star Ilya Rozanov. The series helped him secure brand partnerships and a hosting appearance on Saturday Night Live, which earned him an Emmy nomination. He has also completed filming a role in Sarah Polley’s adaptation of The Bell Jar.
If confirmed, Ghost Rider would be Storrie’s first major project following his rapid rise to fame.
