Former Miss Switzerland Beatrice Keul accuses Donald Trump of rape in new Epstein report

The White House rejected the claim, calling the report a political attempt to distract Americans

Former Miss Switzerland Beatrice Keul has accused US President Donald Trump of raping her at New York’s Plaza Hotel in November 1993, according to a report released by Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee. The White House has denied the allegation, and Trump has not been charged with a crime in connection with the claim.

The report, which examines Trump’s alleged connections to Jeffrey Epstein, details an account Keul reportedly gave to committee staff. According to the document, Keul was 24 and working as a model and financial services professional when she was recruited to attend a pageant in Atlantic City and New York.

Keul alleged that Trump approached her during a luncheon at the Plaza Hotel and offered to help her obtain a visa and gain admission to New York University. The report says Epstein also approached her and made similar offers.

Later that day, according to Keul’s account, a representative invited her to meet Trump in a hotel suite. She alleged that Trump assaulted her there and subsequently urged her to remain silent. The report states that she returned to Switzerland after the pageant and declined to participate in another Trump-sponsored event.

The allegations have not been established in court. The White House rejected them in a statement to PEOPLE, with spokeswoman Lauren Bis saying they were untrue. She also maintained the administration’s position that Trump had been cleared of wrongdoing related to Epstein.

The report draws comparisons between Keul’s account and other allegations involving promises of education and career opportunities. It also references a 1997 sexual assault lawsuit filed against Trump by Jill Harth.

The document comes amid renewed scrutiny of Trump’s past and his reported associations with Epstein, the financier and convicted sex offender.

Trump has faced other legal proceedings involving sexual abuse allegations. In 2023, a civil jury found him liable for sexually abusing and defaming writer E Jean Carroll, though the jury did not find that rape had been proven under the legal definition applied in that case. Trump has denied wrongdoing in connection with Carroll’s allegations.

Keul’s claims remain allegations, and the committee report does not itself establish criminal liability.
