CTD expands worker search
.

The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) continues its operation to safely recover employees of sugar mills who were abducted from Tehsil Paharpur, DI Khan. Sources said the abducted workers may have been moved elsewhere, prompting CTD to expand the search.
A Jamaat-e-Islami delegation met the families, expressed solidarity and demanded immediate, effective action by the government and relevant agencies for their safe return. Party leaders said the law-and-order situation in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, particularly Dera, remains alarming, with rising theft, robbery and kidnapping for ransom spreading fear. The abduction of dozens of workers is deeply regrettable.
The delegation also met DSP Paharpur Circle Sagheer Gilani and SHO Paharpur Azeem Wazir, sought details and pressed for the workers' early recovery.
Leaders noted the abducted men are poor labourers who supported their families through hard work; their absence has left relatives in severe mental and financial distress.
They urged the government, district administration and law-enforcement agencies to prioritise the recovery and keep families informed.
