Actress Allison Williams has opened up about motherhood, describing raising her four-year-old son, Arlo, with husband Alexander Dreymon as a joyful experience.

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE published on October 25, the Girls alum, 38, shared her appreciation for family life and the opportunity to watch her son grow. Williams said she felt fortunate to be Arlo’s mother and described their family of three as particularly close.

“Our little trio is super, super close. We cherish all of our time together,” Williams said, reflecting on the bond she shares with Dreymon and their son.

The actress also spoke about how children change as they grow, explaining that looking back at photographs of Arlo as a newborn allows her to see the person he has become. She described watching him develop his personality and abilities as an honour.

Williams and Dreymon first met while working on the 2020 film Horizon Line, in which they played a couple facing a crisis during a flight. Their on-screen connection developed into a real-life relationship, and they began dating in late 2019.

The couple welcomed Arlo in November 2021, although they did not publicly reveal his birth until April 2022. PEOPLE confirmed in June 2025 that Williams and Dreymon had married privately after the actress referred to him as her husband in an interview.

Williams continues to star in Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, while also balancing her family life and professional commitments. Speaking about motherhood, she said that everything about being a parent excites her.

Her latest comments offer a glimpse into the actress’s life away from the screen, highlighting the close family bond she shares with Dreymon and their young son.
