Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce reportedly delay family plans amid NFL career
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce reportedly waiting for clarity on his NFL future before deciding when to start family

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are reportedly putting plans to start a family on hold while the Kansas City Chiefs tight end considers his future in the NFL.
According to a report by the Daily Mail, the timing of the couple’s decision to have children may depend on whether Kelce retires from professional American football after the current season or continues playing.
Kelce is in his 14th season with the Chiefs and has considered retirement following each of the past two seasons. His next career decision could influence the couple’s plans as they navigate their first months of marriage.
"Travis and his career, whether it is coming to a close or not, will all be determined on how this year ends," an insider told the Daily Mail. "If he wins the Super Bowl, that might be it. If they don't and he still feels good, he might continue."
The source added that retirement would raise further questions about Kelce’s professional future.
"If he doesn't continue, what career opportunities will he decide to take? Lots of questions still to be answered and once they are, then kids can be added into the equation," the insider said. "They are both very blessed to have a little extra time on their side to figure it all out."
Kelce has previously indicated that having children is something he hopes to experience in the future. Speaking on the New Heights podcast in June, he said, "I see it in our future, for sure."
A separate source told the Daily Mail that Swift is not rushing into parenthood and believes she has time to balance family life with her career.
"Taylor thinks she can have it all," the source said. "And she plans to. At 36 she knows she still has time to start a family. She's in no rush."
For now, the couple reportedly remains focused on their respective commitments. Swift has been attending Chiefs home games to support Kelce as he continues his NFL season.
