Illegal migration attempts uncovered, five held

KARACHI:

The FIA Immigration Karachi has uncovered attempts to misuse Umrah visas for illegal migration and referred five passengers to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle.

Four passengers returning from Northern Cyprus, identified as Muhammad Yaseen, Malik Subhan, Abdullah Khan and Abdul Basit, were intercepted during secondary immigration checks.

In the second operation, a passenger identified as Imamuddin, who returned from Algeria on an emergency passport, was intercepted during immigration screening.
