Influencer Jennifer Burnham reveals son Baxter’s cause of death at age 4
Influencer Jennifer Burnham reveals her 4-year-old son Baxter died from an aggressive brain cancer on October 5

Influencer Jennifer Burnham has revealed that her four-year-old son, Baxter, died from diffuse midline glioma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. The content creator previously announced his death on Instagram, sharing that he passed away on October 5.
In an Instagram video posted on October 15, Burnham opened up about her son’s diagnosis and the family’s efforts to find treatment. She explained that Baxter had been a healthy and happy child before they noticed his left eye beginning to turn inward.
Doctors initially suspected strabismus, a condition in which the eyes do not align properly, and planned surgery to correct it. However, an MRI scan conducted before the procedure revealed a brain tumour, changing the course of the family’s lives.
Burnham said Baxter underwent surgery to remove part of the tumour. The family also pursued red light therapy and travelled to Europe twice during the summer in search of additional treatment options.
The influencer described the experience as a difficult six-month journey, explaining that they consulted specialists and explored different possibilities to help their son.
“It’s so difficult to watch your child going through something like this and you’re literally helpless,” Burnham said. She added that Baxter remained strong throughout his illness and fought until his final day.
Following his death, Burnham paid tribute to her son in an emotional social media post, remembering his kind personality and love for his family, toy cars, chocolate chip cookies and karate.
“You have the most perfect angelic face and the sweetest personality,” she wrote, recalling the joy he brought to their lives.
Jennifer and her husband, Bryce Burnham, welcomed Baxter on January 25, 2022. The couple also share a younger son, Barron, who is one year old.
Burnham has built an online following of approximately 96,000 Instagram users through lifestyle, motherhood and cooking content. Her recent posts have documented the family’s grief following Baxter’s death and celebrated the memories they shared with him.
