Lionsgate has released a new set of character posters for The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, offering a closer look at the cast of the upcoming prequel to the popular film franchise, according to Deadline.

The posters feature Joseph Zada as a young Haymitch Abernathy, Mckenna Grace as Maysilee Donner, Glenn Close as Drusilla, Ralph Fiennes as President Snow and Maya Hawke as Wiress. Other cast members featured include Billy Porter as Magno, Elle Fanning as Effie, Whitney Peak as Lenore Dove, Lili Taylor as Mags and Kieran Culkin as Caesar Flickerman.

The film also stars Percy Daggs IV as Ampert, Kelvin Harrison Jr. as Beetee, Jesse Plemons as Plutarch and Ben Wang as Wyatt.

Directed by Francis Lawrence and written by Billy Ray and Michael Lesslie, The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping is based on Suzanne Collins’ 2025 novel of the same name. The film is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on November 20, 2026.

Set 24 years before the events of the original The Hunger Games, the story follows 16-year-old Haymitch Abernathy from District 12 on the day of the reaping for the 50th Hunger Games, also known as the Second Quarter Quell. The event features twice as many tributes as usual, making it one of the deadliest competitions in Panem.

After entering the arena, Haymitch forms an unlikely alliance with fellow tribute Maysilee Donner and joins a group determined to challenge the Capitol’s control under President Snow. As the Games progress, he risks everything to undermine the system from within, setting the stage for the rebellion that will eventually transform Panem.

The newly released character posters provide fans with a fresh look at the ensemble ahead of the film’s theatrical debut.
