Iran Air resumes Quetta-Zahedan flights

QUETTA:
The Iran Air has restored its flights between Quetta and Zahedan after a temporary suspension, creating fresh opportunities to strengthen trade, business cooperation and travel between the two neighbouring countries.
Flight IRA 0827 arrived at Quetta International Airport from Zahedan on Tuesday before returning to the Iranian city with more than 80 passengers on board.
During a meeting, Zahedan Chamber of Commerce President Haji Hakim Regi and members of the Quetta business community discussed measures to expand bilateral trade, strengthen commercial partnerships and improve cooperation between traders in the two countries.
The restored flight service is expected to make travel easier for businesspeople, traders and other passengers while improving economic links between Balochistan and Iran. Iran Air's routes connecting Quetta with Zahedan and Mashhad were inaugurated by Balochistan Governor Jafar Khan Mandokhail in December 2025. The service was subsequently suspended amid the prevailing international situation.
