PESHAWAR:

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Police have resolved to deal firmly with protest demonstrations, warning that those involved in rioting, vandalism or disrupting law and order will face the full force of the law.

Authorities made clear that no damage to government installations, buildings or public property will be tolerated during any protest or disturbance. The public has been advised to stay away from illegal gatherings, violent activities or any form of provocation. Failure to do so will result in the strictest legal action.

Police said they will take action against anyone who threatens peace, attacks security forces or buildings, or endangers citizens' lives and property. Citizens have been urged to remain peaceful, respect the law and avoid being misled by troublemakers.

Special security arrangements are being put in place to protect police stations, government buildings, banks, petrol pumps, commercial centres and major highways. All protest activities and police responses will be video-recorded to support any subsequent legal proceedings.

To ensure an effective response, the police will maintain close coordination with the district administration and other relevant agencies.
