PML-N K-P welcomes governor's rule

PESHAWAR:

Federal Minister and PML-N Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa President Amir Muqam on Sunday welcomed the imposition of governor's rule and an emergency in the province, describing the move as a step towards restoring peace, improving governance and ensuring public safety.

In a statement, Muqam said the immediate priorities should be eliminating terrorism, establishing lasting peace and providing relief to the people. He urged the public to remain peaceful, abide by the law and avoid activities that could provoke unrest.

Separately, PML-N lawmakers in Abbottabad criticised the PTI-led provincial government over the deteriorating law and order situation.
