Schools, colleges in three K-P districts closed on Monday following emergency imposition
Schools and colleges in Swabi, Mardan and Nowshera will remain shut on Monday

Educational institutions in several districts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) would remain closed on Monday after district authorities in Swabi, Mardan and Nowshera announced the closure of public and private educational institutions in view of the imposition of emergency and governor's rule in the province.
The federal government imposed emergency and governor’s rule in K-P)after President Asif Ali Zardari signed the summary on the advice of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, following the federal cabinet’s approval of the recommendation.
In Swabi, the district education officer and deputy commissioner ordered the closure of all public and private educational institutions, including schools, colleges and universities, in view of the prevailing circumstances.

In Mardan and Nowshera, authorities also announced the closure of all government and private schools, colleges and universities. All examinations scheduled for Monday in both districts had also been cancelled.

Meanwhile, Nowshera Deputy Commissioner Gohar Zaman issued the closure order for educational institutions in Nowshera, while officials and heads of educational institutions in the three districts were directed to ensure strict compliance with the directives.
