IHC judge recuses himself from deputationists case

ISLAMABAD:

IHC Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir on Friday recused himself from hearing a case challenging the decision to repatriate deputationist section officers to their respective provinces after expressing strong displeasure over alleged attempts by petitioners to approach him.

The judge directed that the case file be sent to the Chief Justice's Office for the formation of a new bench.

During the hearing, Advocate Raja Aleem Abbasi appeared on behalf of the petitioners. Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir expressed serious reservations, alleging that the petitioners had attempted to influence him.
