Proclaimed offender held through Interpol

Factory Area police arrested a proclaimed offender (PO) in a murder case after bringing him back from Saudi Arabia on Tuesday.

According to a spokesperson, the accused, Parwaiz, had allegedly killed a citizen within the jurisdiction of Factory Area police station and later fled abroad.

He had been declared a proclaimed offender in a case registered under Sections 302 and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code.

The police, with the assistance of Interpol, arrested the accused and brought him back from Saudi Arabia. He was sent to jail for investigation.

Meanwhile, Sargodha police busted a four-member gang of robbers. Valuables worth Rs19.35 million were recovered from the suspects.
