Gilani calls for inclusive governance, peace

ISLAMABAD:

Senate Chairman Yousaf Raza Gilani on Tuesday called for a renewed commitment to inclusive governance, peace, dialogue and equal opportunity, stressing that in an increasingly interconnected world, sustainable development and human empowerment are inseparable from international peace and stability.

He was addressing the 153rd Assembly of the IPU in Arusha, Tanzania, on the theme "Enhancing good governance and empowering communities through inclusivity, trust and opportunities for all".

Gilani said the principles of inclusion, trust, peace and opportunity must also guide relations among nations.
