MUZAFFARABAD:

Azad Kashmir Minister for Electricity Raja Saqib Majeed on Tuesday said Pakistan’s role in the Makkah Agreement including the deployment of its army personnel in the Holy Mosques reflected growing international confidence in the country and its armed forces.

Speaking to the media here on Tuesday the minister said the development underscored Pakistan’s expanding strategic and diplomatic role while highlighting the professionalism and capabilities of the Pakistan Army under the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.

He said Pakistan was not only a strong military power but also a country committed to peace, stability and a responsible role in the international community.

The minister Saqib said the Pakistan Army’s professional training, discipline, modern defence capabilities and ability to make effective decisions in difficult circumstances had further strengthened Pakistan’s military standing globally.

He said Pakistan’s role under the Makkah Agreement was evidence of the country’s growing importance and the trust placed in it internationally. The army, he added, had demonstrated its capabilities and established Pakistan as a credible force for peace and stability in the region.

The minister said the country’s armed forces were guarantors of national security, sovereignty and national dignity, adding that their sacrifices, professional expertise and military capabilities had earned Pakistan a prominent position among major defence powers.

Saqib termed Pakistan’s role under the Makkah Agreement a matter of pride for the nation and said it would further enhance the country’s diplomatic influence, international credibility and stature, contributing to its political, military and economic stability.

He added that the Makkah Agreement had brought Pakistan, Türkiye and Saudi Arabia closer, describing the relationship among the three countries as akin to that of “three brothers”.
