Jack Doherty’s girlfriend allegedly pulled a gun during an argument over their breakup before the influencer was arrested for alleged domestic violence, according to a police report obtained by TMZ.
The incident reportedly occurred in September in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where police responded to an alleged dispute involving Doherty and his girlfriend. According to the report, the woman told officers that she had lived with Doherty for about six months before deciding to end their relationship.
The woman alleged that Doherty threatened to “beat her ass” during the argument and said he could do so because he was bigger than her. She told police that she went upstairs, retrieved a firearm that was on a table and held it at her side while telling Doherty to leave her alone. She also reportedly told officers she would shoot him if he approached her because she was afraid.
The woman acknowledged hitting and scratching Doherty but told police she did so in self-defense.
Doherty gave officers a different account of the altercation. According to the police report, he said his girlfriend had struck him and showed officers security footage from the residence. Police said the footage appeared to show a verbal argument and the woman using her arm to strike and push Doherty away to create distance.
Officers also noted that Doherty had a visible injury on his face. Despite this, he was taken into custody and transported to jail.
Doherty’s arrest came after allegations of domestic violence. The case remains based on the accounts and evidence described in the police report, and the allegations have not been established as facts in court.
