'Govt providing relief despite rising fuel prices'

LAHORE:

Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik on Sunday said the government was providing relief to the people despite rising global fuel prices.

He also called for national unity to safeguard the country's frontiers and effectively counter the menace of terrorism.

Addressing a public gathering in Lahore on Sunday, the minister said the nation stood shoulder to shoulder with the Pakistan Army, whose sacrifices for the country would always be remembered.

Malik said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and CDF Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir were taking all possible measures to protect the country from terrorism.
