Dar stresses diplomacy to resolve conflict
DPM meets British HC; chairs Pak-Bahrain JMC

ISLAMABAD:
British High Commissioner Jane Marriott, on Saturday called on Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and discussed relations between the two countries.
Both sides welcomed the positive momentum in bilateral ties and discussed upcoming engagements to carry this cooperation forward, the Foreign Office spokesperson said in a press release.
They also exchanged views on the evolving regional situation. The DPM/FM underscored the importance of efforts to ease tensions and reaffirmed that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable way forward.
Bahrain
Dar underscored the importance of the Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC) in further expanding Pakistan-Bahrain cooperation.
The DPM/FM chaired an inter-ministerial meeting to review preparations for the third session of the Pakistan-Bahrain Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC), which he would co-chair with his Bahraini counterpart.
Dar further directed the concerned ministries to finalise preparations in close coordination and pursue concrete outcomes from the Bahraini Foreign Minister's visit next week, the Foreign Office Spokesperson said in a press release.
The meeting was attended by SAPM Tariq Bajwa, acting foreign secretary, and secretaries and senior officials from all concerned ministries and departments.
