Taylor Swift has debuted an even shorter hairstyle, showing off a curly lob and her signature bangs while celebrating a new milestone for her music.

The singer revealed the shoulder-length look in an Instagram post on October 2. Swift had previously cut her long blonde hair in August, making the latest style another change to her appearance.

In the new photo, Swift wore her natural-looking curls while marking the fifth time two of her projects had charted simultaneously on the U.K.'s Official Charts. "Patient Zero" and The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore were both included in the milestone.

Swift had previously referred to her natural curls as her hair's "factory settings". She first showed off her shorter haircut publicly in August while having dinner in London, marking her first outing after marrying Travis Kelce on July 3.

The new hairstyle follows the release of The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore, which was announced a month after her London appearance.

Swift has also had a notable run at the 2026 MTV VMAs. On September 27, she became the show's most awarded artist after winning her 33rd Moonman, surpassing Beyoncé's previous record of 30 wins.

Before the ceremony, Swift also received the inaugural Artist-Director award. MTV described the honour as recognising a musician "whose work behind the camera has expanded the possibilities of music video and advanced the art of visual storytelling."

Accepting the award, Swift credited her fans for her continued enthusiasm for writing and directing music videos.

"I got to tell you though, the main reason why I love writing and directing music videos so much is because you, the fans, make it so much fun," she said. "You make it so rewarding because you actually care about what we're making."
