Lauren Cohan lands leading role in new romantic comedy 'Both Sides Now'

Lauren Cohan and Jake Epstein lead Eric Stoltz’s new romantic comedy 'Both Sides Now', now filming in Ontario

Lauren Cohan and Jake Epstein are set to lead the cast of Both Sides Now, an independent romantic comedy directed by actor and filmmaker Eric Stoltz.

Cohan, known for The Walking Dead, and Epstein, who appeared in Degrassi: The Next Generation, will headline the ensemble cast of the upcoming romantic comedy. The film is currently in production in Muskoka, Ontario.

Both Sides Now follows a group of lifelong friends approaching 40 who return to the Jewish summer camp where they grew up to celebrate the upcoming wedding of Eddie, played by Epstein.

The reunion takes an unexpected turn when Eddie’s best friend Lloyd, portrayed by Erich Bergen, invites Eddie’s first love and former camp sweetheart Erin, played by Cohan, to the bachelor weekend. The gathering forces the friends to confront unresolved relationships, old feelings and questions about the paths they chose in life.

Stoltz is directing the film from a screenplay by Hailey Lustig and composer Robbie Roth. The story draws inspiration from the writers’ own long friendship and shared experiences growing up at summer camp.

The cast also includes Bergen, Justin Chatwin and Brian Norris. The romantic comedy will feature six original songs written by Roth and performed by members of the cast.

Both Sides Now marks the feature-film debut of Three Birds Landing Productions, which is independently financing the project. Lustig, Carrie Mudd and Erin Berry are producing the film in association with Peacock Alley Entertainment.

Production began on September 19 and is scheduled to continue through October 20. No release date has been announced for Both Sides Now.
