Zainab Chottani to make Paris runway debut

Designer will present her work in Paris on Oct 2 as part of MODA Productions’ international fashion programme

Fashion designer Zainab Chottani is set to take her signature aesthetic to Paris this October, where she will make her debut at a MODA Productions showcase.

According to the event invitation, Chottani will present her work on October 2, 2026, as part of MODA Productions’ international fashion programme at Hôtel de Maisons, 51 rue de l’Université, Paris. She will appear alongside designers including Fjolla Nila, ALmée and Levörchy, placing her work within an international lineup of fashion talent.

For Chottani, the Paris appearance marks another step in the evolution of a label that has built its identity around Pakistani craftsmanship, particularly bridal couture, while expanding into formalwear, luxury prêt and contemporary collections.

Founded by Chottani, the fashion house describes its design philosophy as a meeting point between Pakistan’s rich sartorial heritage and contemporary fashion. Its portfolio ranges from heavily embellished bridal ensembles to gowns, lehengas, ghararas, sarees, jackets and ready-to-wear pieces. The brand’s collections continue to draw on embroidery, traditional craftsmanship and luxurious fabrics while experimenting with modern silhouettes.

Chottani’s association with bridal fashion stretches back more than a decade. Her first catwalk appearance came in 2009, followed by participation in platforms including Fashion Pakistan Week and Bridal Couture Week. Her bridal work has also been featured through Pakistani television dramas, helping bring her designs to a wider audience.

Over the years, the designer has expanded beyond bridalwear. The label now operates across couture, formalwear and prêt, with collections incorporating techniques such as hand embroidery, block printing, gota and kiran work, alongside fabrics including organza, raw silk, chiffon and net.

MODA Productions, which describes itself as an international fashion week association, produces runway showcases designed to connect designers with the wider fashion industry. Founded and led by Tracy Murray, the organisation has staged international designer presentations in Paris, including at the historic Hôtel de Maisons. Its showcases bring together designers from different markets, with an emphasis on visibility, press exposure, buyers and industry networking.

The Paris presentation will place a distinctly Pakistani design vocabulary within a broader international setting. For Chottani, the MODA appearance offers a platform to introduce her interpretation of South Asian couture to a Paris audience while continuing the brand’s expansion from a bridal-focused label into a broader fashion house with an international presence.
