Gisele Bündchen reportedly ended marriage with Tom Brady with three words about compatibility

Gisele Bündchen reportedly told Tom Brady they were “not compatible” before their 2022 divorce, according to a forthcoming book about the retired NFL star.

Author Lars Anderson details the breakdown of Brady and Bündchen’s 13-year marriage in Brady: An American Story and the Price of Greatness, which was obtained by Daily Mail.

“One day, Gisele, who is really into astrology, basically looked into the stars and told Tom, ‘We’re not compatible,’” the source told Anderson. “And just like that, she was done.”

According to the book, Bündchen had reportedly encouraged Brady to retire for years, including after the New England Patriots’ 2017 Super Bowl victory.

Per Anderson, she allegedly asked, “Would now be the perfect time to retire?” Brady reportedly replied, “Too bad, babe. I’m having too much fun right now.”

The book also describes tensions surrounding Brady’s decision to return to the NFL after announcing his retirement in February 2022.

He later wrote on X, “I’ve realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands. That time will come. But it’s not now.”

Anderson cites former teammates and coaches describing Brady as distracted after his return to training camp, while Bündchen reportedly left for Costa Rica.

Brady and Bündchen announced their divorce on October 28, 2022.

Bündchen said at the time, “We have grown apart and while it is, of course, difficult to go through something like this, I feel blessed for the time we had together and only wish the best for Tom always.”

The former couple share two children, Benjamin and Vivian.

Bündchen has since remarried Joaquim Valente.
