Capital Punishment: Man gets death for murder

KASUR: Additional District and Sessions Judge Khurshid Anwar Rizvi sentenced an accused to death on Tuesday in a murder case. According to the prosecution the court sentenced accused Muhammad Alyas to death for murder. llyas and Salamat Ali shot and killed their relative Javed Iqbal over a land dispute in Raja Jang two years ago. The court handed down death sentence to Muhammad llyas and a life term sentence was meted out to Salmat Ali. The court also imposed a total fine of Rs 400,000 on both accused and the sentence of both men will be extended if the fine is not paid in time.
