Twelve labourers abducted in Duki

Unidentified terrorists on Saturday abducted twelve labourers of a road construction company's camp in Duki district of Balochistan. Separately, volunteers of a peace force in Dera Bugti eliminated 13 terrorists who attacked a gas exploration company's camp.

The Duki attack took place late Friday night near Nana Sahib Ziarat in the Palri area, where armed men targeted a road construction company's camp, according to Duki SP Mansoor Ahmed Buzdar.

The attackers opened fire, killing a private security guard and injuring another. They also set fire to four vehicles parked at the camp before abducting 12 labourers present at the site. The abducted workers include 10 from Punjab, one from DI Khan district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and one local.

Following the attack, police, Frontier Corps and other law enforcement personnel cordoned off the area and launched a wide-ranging search operation to trace and recover the abducted workers.

The incident occurred as another armed attack was reported in the B-Loti area of North Dera Bugti district.

Unidentified terrorists attacked a gas exploration company's camp at Khajoori and the residence of Dera Bugti District Council Chairman Wadera Ghulam Nabi Shambhani in the Bekar area on Friday night.

Following the attack, an intense exchange of fire took place between the attackers and the Bugti Peace Force, led by Wadera Hidayat Shambhani, brother of the district council chairman. A peace force volunteer, Ahmedin Shambhani Bugti, was killed during the exchange, while three others were injured.

The injured were shifted to Indus Hospital in Sui.
