IHC orders digital filing of cases

ISLAMABAD:

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has made it mandatory for litigants to submit a complete digital copy of the case file with every new case filed before the court. The responsibility for submitting a complete, clear, accurate and properly organised digital case file will rest with the concerned party or counsel.

The offices of the Advocate General, Prosecutor General and Deputy Attorney General will no longer receive hard copies of case files. Instead, digital copies will be provided through official electronic channels.

A circular issued by the Deputy Registrar (Judicial), with the approval of IHC Chief Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar, states that a digital case file must be submitted along with the original documents at the time of filing a case.

According to the circular, court case files and electronic documents will be transferred only through the court's official electronic system.
