Actor shares glimpses of her Las Vegas and New York trip weeks after her divorce was confirmed

Actor Nimra Khan has been enjoying a US vacation, sharing glimpses of her time in Las Vegas and New York City as she embraces a new chapter following her divorce.

Khan has been documenting her trip through a series of photos and videos on Instagram, weeks after her ex-husband, Zain Hamid, confirmed that the couple had divorced. Her posts have largely centred on self-care, positivity and enjoying life on her own terms.

“I’m in my era of protecting my peace, enjoying my life, and being unapologetically happy,” Khan wrote in a post from Las Vegas, Nevada.

For the outing, the actor wore a white collared shirt with matching white trousers, paired with a brown belt, long brown cowboy boots, a hat and a matching brown purse.

A few days earlier, Khan had shared a video set to the Bollywood song Kuch To Hua Hai from Kal Ho Naa Ho while walking across the Brooklyn Bridge in New York.

In another video, Khan was seen dancing in Times Square alongside a gorilla. “Let the world watch… I’m just busy letting my inner child live. Never be afraid to be unapologetically YOU,” she wrote in the caption.

Her posts come weeks after Hamid confirmed that the couple had divorced in a statement shared on his private Instagram account. He said the separation was the result of irreconcilable personal differences and criticised what he described as uncalled-for media attention.

Since the separation, Khan has also used her social-media platforms to promote messages of self-worth and encourage women to stand up for themselves.

“All the girls out thr…. Stand up. Choose yourself. Step out of the pain, rise above what broke you, and shine,” she wrote in a post days after the separation was confirmed.

Khan continues to pursue acting alongside her social-media presence and currently stars in the drama Be-Sharam, opposite Affan Waheed. Her previous major projects include Ehraam-e-Junoon, Khoob Seerat and Bhool.
