Nimra Khan's ex-husband allegedly confirms divorce, cites 'irreconcilable differences'
Fiza Ali, Nida Yasir, other celebrities rally behind actor as legal proceedings reportedly underway

Actor Nimra Khan's ex-husband Zain Hamid confirmed the couple's divorce in a statement that was allegedly posted on his private Instagram account. In the statement, Hamid criticised what he described as "uncalled-for" social media attention surrounding the couple's separation.
As per the statement, Hamid and Nimra made an amicable decision to end their marriage due to "irreconcilable personal differences/choices," culminating in a divorce on July 17.
"I have and had no intention to place any blame on anyone," he wrote.
Addressing an earlier post in which he cryptically wrote, "At peace finally, good riddance," Hamid said the remark was a response to social media posts he felt were made for attention.
Hamid also clarified that the legal process was underway, with the dissolution of marriage filed and lawyers handling the proceedings. "I wish Nimra nothing but the best. This is an amicable parting, equally difficult for a man as it is for a lady," he said.

The reported confirmation came after Hamid’s earlier post sparked speculation and prompted several celebrities, including Nimra's friends, to publicly support the actor.
The divorce rumours further gained traction after Nimra shared a series of posts regarding self-worth, resilience and standing up against injustice.
In one post, the actor wrote: "All the girls out there, stand up. Choose yourself. Step out of the pain, rise above what broke you, and shine." She added, "You don’t have to prove your worth to anyone — just never stop standing up for yourself. Never tolerate disrespect, injustice, or pain that you don’t deserve."
Actor and host Fiza Ali also posted a video on her Instagram, siding with Nimra and criticising the way Hamid addressed the situation. "Do not make a victory out of a divorce announcement. Your relationship has ended but not the woman’s respect," Fiza captioned her post.
She also questioned Hamid’s alleged reference to the divorce, arguing that Nimra's silence should not be interpreted as a win.
Nimra responded by commenting with sad-face emojis under Fiza's post.
Other celebrities, including Nida Yasir, Armeena Khan, Mansha Pasha, and content creator Moomal Khalid, also expressed their support for Nimra on their respective Instagram accounts.

"You are a fighter, you are our doll. It is good that Allah protected you from bad people as that person would have taken your peace. Lots of love and prayers for our Nimra," Nida wrote.
Moomal shared that she was saddened by the news, questioning why people sometimes failed to understand the importance of marriage. She also defended Nimra, describing her as a kind-hearted person and saying the situation was not her fault.
"I just saw a post by her husband…How can you be so insensitive and make someone who was once your partner feel so bad? We all are with you Nimra," she wrote. Moomal added, "She is genuinely a very good hearted girl and this is not her fault."
Mansha, meanwhile, wrote that the "audacity of mediocre men shall remain a forever mystery," reportedly in reference to Hamid's earlier cryptic remark.
Nimra married Hamid in early May this year. She previously married Raja Azam in 2020, with the pair divorcing in 2021.
