Abdul Qadir said preparation on difficult wickets helped him produce a century as Pakistan Under-19 beat England Under-19 by 122 runs in the second one-day international.

Qadir, who spoke to PCB Digital after the match, said he had prepared for a big innings on a challenging pitch after the team management gave the players extensive practice on similar surfaces.

“I tried to bat according to my natural game plan,” Qadir said.

“I will try to give 100 percent in the upcoming matches as well. The goal is to put in performances that help Pakistan Under-19 secure victories.”

The victory gave Pakistan a 2-0 lead in the four-match series.

The third ODI will be played at Wormsley on September 14.
