FAISALABAD:
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) stopped 92 Pakistani Sikh passengers from travelling to Sharjah from Faisalabad International Airport over incomplete travel documents and the absence of mandatory government no-objection certificates (NOCs).
According to FIA officials, the passengers intended to travel from Faisalabad to Sharjah and then proceed to India. However, they were stopped after authorities found that they did not have complete travel documentation and the required NOCs from the government.
The FIA officials said the passengers did not possess return tickets or the NOCs required by the government of Pakistan for their journey.
They said Sikh passengers travelling on such trips were required to obtain NOCs from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Interior.
According to the FIA, the passengers belonged to Nankana Sahib and various other cities across Pakistan.
