Delegation: Chinese vice-premier visits museum

The Chinese Public Security Minister Meng Jianzhu, accompanied by his entourage, visited Pakistan Monument Museum here at Shakarparian on Wednesday.


They were welcomed by Secretary Information Secretary Taimur Azmat Osman, Lok Virsa Executive Director Khalid Javaid and other senior officials of Lok Virsa and the information ministry. The visit was coordinated by Lok Virsa (National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage) in consultation with the ministry of foreign affairs.

The team was taken on a tour of the various creative displays and dioramas at the museum presenting Pakistan’s history, birth and development as a progressive state.

The Chinese vice premier highly appreciated the role and efforts of Lok Virsa as a specialized body in preserving Pakistan’s folk and traditional heritage.
