Squirmy and Grubs announce preganancy with first baby after IVF journey

Squirmy and Grubs are expecting their first baby together after previously sharing their struggles with IVF.

The social media couple, whose real names are Shane and Hannah Burcaw, announced the news on Instagram, revealing that Hannah is 20 weeks pregnant and due to give birth in January.

The couple had chosen to keep the pregnancy private while enjoying the early stages of the experience.

“We are beyond ecstatic to announce that we’re expecting our first child this coming January!” Hannah and Shane wrote alongside photos of themselves and their sonograms.

They also revealed that Shane will be documenting their pregnancy journey through a baby blog.

The couple are participating in a social media trend supporting expecting families by offering followers the opportunity to share registry links in the comments.

Reflecting on their previous fertility struggles, the couple wrote, “After going through IVF unsuccessfully for many years, we understand all too well the difficulties that many people experience when trying to conceive, and how seeing announcements can feel. Our hearts go out to you 🤍,”

Shane and Hannah married in September 2020 and have built a following through YouTube and TikTok, where they frequently discuss their relationship and Shane’s spinal muscular atrophy diagnosis.

In March 2023, the couple announced that they were beginning their first round of IVF after undergoing testing. Later that year, they revealed that Shane had zero viable sperm following further testing.

In January 2026, they shared that they had decided to try having children again after taking a three-year break from the process.
