Shafi Jan hails PTI Sindh street movement

PESHAWAR:

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information and Science & Information Technology Shafi Jan has termed Chief Minister Sohail Afridi's five-day visit to Sindh under the PTI Street Movement a highly successful political campaign, saying massive public participation from Ghotki to Karachi demonstrated strong support for PTI founding chairman Imran Khan.

In a press statement, Shafi Jan said the enthusiasm and spirit displayed by the people of Sindh during the movement were commendable and reflected their determination to stand with PTI in its struggle for what the party describes as true freedom, constitutional supremacy and genuine democracy.

He thanked PTI office-bearers, workers and the people of Sindh for their overwhelming participation, saying they had reaffirmed their commitment to the supremacy of the Constitution, the rule of law and the release of Imran Khan.

The minister said Chief Minister Sohail Afridi's Lawyers' Convention at the Sindh High Court Bar would prove to be an important milestone in the struggle for constitutional supremacy and the rule of law. He said the legal fraternity had historically played a pivotal role in defending the Constitution, protecting democratic values and upholding the rule of law.
