Hina Javed murder suspects sent to jail

Civil Judge Adil Sarwar Sial has sent Faisal Asghar, son of Asghar Ali and husband of slain digital designer Hina Javed, and employee Zeeshan Arshad, son of Muhammad Arshad, to Adiala Jail on a 14-day judicial remand in the murder case.

The court ordered that the challan be completed within two weeks and both suspects, along with the challan, be produced before the court on September 16.

The nikahnama of first wife Aram Zeb and the nikahnama of second wife, the deceased Hina Javed, as well as the divorce deed of the first wife were recovered from main suspect and husband Faisal Asghar.

A screwdriver, described as the murder weapon, was also recovered from co-accused Zeeshan Arshad.

Police also recovered the rope, iron wire and cloth allegedly used in the murder from both suspects.

The screwdriver, cloth, wire and rope were recovered from the husband's house, where they had allegedly been hidden after the murder.

The nikahnamas of both wives and the divorce deed of the first wife were also verified from official records. The polygraph test reports of both suspects and the forensic laboratory report are expected to be received during the current week.
