Adele Zaikman has won Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro, becoming the spinoff’s first champion and earning a place in the professional cast of Dancing with the Stars season 35.

The competition concluded on Monday, Aug. 31, with Zaikman defeating finalists AJ Pritchard and Selena Hamilton.

Following the announcement from judge Shirley Ballas, Zaikman said, “I just feel like this is a celebration of all the sacrifices that I’ve done. It’s just like a big ‘I made it’ moment.”

Zaikman was joined by Nev Schulman for the finale. The pair performed a samba to “Bun Up the Dance” by Dillon Francis and Skrillex before dancing a paso-inspired freestyle to “Natural” by Imagine Dragons.

Judge Derek Hough previously nicknamed Zaikman “Rolls Royce” during the premiere, while Ballas called her “the new generation of Dancing with the Stars” during the semifinals.

Hough praised her finale performance, saying, “Adele, you could just walk across the floor and you would be captivating. There is a quality to what you do, a maturity.”

Zaikman will join previously announced professionals Witney Carson and Sharna Burgess on season 35. The series premieres on Tuesday, Sept. 15, with a second episode airing Wednesday, Sept. 16.

Confirmed celebrities include Ciara Miller, Maura Higgins, Jackson Olson and Guillermo Rodriguez. The remaining stars and professional dancers are scheduled to be announced on Good Morning America on Wednesday, Sept. 2.

Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro is available to stream on Hulu.
