Quality Check: Farhan Mills raided

The Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) conducted a raid on Tuesday following complaints.

KARACHI: Unlicenced brands of Banaspati Ghee and Cooking Oil including Sehat, Ghousia, Lucky and Classic Pakwan were found in sub-standard rusted tin packing in a raid conducted on Farhan Ghee and Cooking Oil Mills. The Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) conducted a raid on Tuesday following complaints that some Banaspati Ghee and Cooking Oil units are using sub-standards packaging material, according to a press statement. The processing area of the mill – located in Korangi Industrial Estate, Karachi – was also found to be dirty and unhygienic, adds the statement. The authority plans to impose a fine on the owner of the mill.
