As reported earlier, an over-loaded 72-seater bus, carrying 107 passengers overturned on the Lahore-Islamabad Motorway, on September 26, the report confirms.
The passenger bus skidded at the accident-prone Kallar Kahar area. The bus was carrying 101 students and five staff members, who were on their way back from a school trip to Kallar Kahar and Khewra Salt Mines, widely-known as tourist destinations.
The district government will present the report shortly to Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif.
The school administration is blamed for the negligence and a summary has been sent to launch a case against the school's administration.
Officials also called for cancelling the registration of the educational institute.
It has been proved now that the bus was over-loaded and that its brakes had failed in the lead up to the accident.
Motorway police was found guilty of failing to check the over-loaded bus at the entrance or exit point of the motorway or to check its over-speeding.
