Ushna Shah welcomes baby boy, introduces him as her 'little lion cub'

“It’s a boy!” Actor Ushna Shah has announced the arrival of her first child, sharing the joyful news with her followers on Instagram.

Sharing a series of pictures, Shah introduced her newborn son as her “little lion cub”, revealing that he was born under the Leo star sign and joking that calling him cute would be an understatement.

Shah also shared glimpses of the preparations made to welcome her son, including his hospital bassinet, welcome cookies and floral arrangements.

Keeping her signature humour intact, she joked in the caption that her newborn’s routine already revolves around “eat, sleep, poop, repeat” and that he has “already” taken over the family’s world.

She ended the announcement with a simple: “10/10. No notes.”

The news prompted an outpouring of congratulatory messages from fans and fellow celebrities, including Saboor Aly, Mikaal Zulfiqar, Sanam Jung, Azfar Rehman, Iqra Aziz, Zara Noor Abbas, Mira Sethi and Nida Yasir, among others.

Shah married Amin in a nikkah ceremony in Karachi in February 2023. The couple have now welcomed their first child together.

She first announced her pregnancy in May with the same light-hearted humour. Sharing a maternity photoshoot with her husband, professional golfer Hamza Amin, she captioned the post, “So much for abs this summer.”

The pregnancy announcement was met with a wave of congratulatory messages from her followers and colleagues.

In the months that followed, Shah continued to give fans candid glimpses into her pregnancy, often using memes and humour to document the experience rather than opting for a conventional pregnancy diary.

The actor, who is known for her performances in Bashar Momin, Balaa, Cheekh, Parizaad and Habs, has also been vocal about animal welfare and serves as a WWF Goodwill Ambassador.
