Miley Cyrus accused of bullying former Disney star Jordan Pruitt over her looks

Jordan Pruitt alleges Miley Cyrus left nasty voicemails about her looks and career during their Disney era years back

Jordan Pruitt has reignited an old chapter of Disney Channel history after accusing Miley Cyrus of bullying her during their early careers. The former Disney teen pop star made the allegation in a resurfaced Instagram comment, claiming Cyrus repeatedly targeted her appearance and career aspirations while they were young performers in the same entertainment circle.

Pruitt, who is now 35, reportedly responded to an old social media video that appeared to show Cyrus making fun of Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez. In the comment, Pruitt claimed that Cyrus had behaved similarly towards her during their Disney years.

"This is how Miley treated everyone back in the day including me lol," Pruitt wrote, according to the screenshot cited by Page Six.

When another user encouraged Pruitt to elaborate, she alleged that Cyrus would call her and leave hostile voicemails alongside a friend named Mandy. Pruitt claimed the messages included criticism of her appearance, saying she needed a nose job and new teeth, while also mocking her choreography.

The singer described Cyrus as "relentless" in the comment. A screenshot of the exchange reportedly attracted more than 1,000 likes at the time it was captured, helping the old allegation gain fresh attention online.

Cyrus has not publicly addressed Pruitt's latest accusation, and her representative did not immediately respond to request for comment.

Pruitt is no stranger to sharing claims about her early career years. In March, she reportedly revealed in another Instagram comment that her 2008 song "Boyfriend" was inspired by a situation involving Cyrus and Nick Jonas. The song includes lyrics about another woman trying to take someone's boyfriend.

At the time, rumours circulated that Pruitt and Jonas were romantically involved, although their relationship was never confirmed. Cyrus and Jonas, meanwhile, dated from 2006 to 2007.

Pruitt rose to prominence through Disney's music machine, releasing two albums through Hollywood Records. She became known for songs including "Outside Looking In", released in 2006, and "Jump to the Rhythm", which appeared in the 2007 Disney Channel movie Jump In!, starring Corbin Bleu and Keke Palmer.

She also toured with major Disney acts, including the Jonas Brothers, Demi Lovato and the Cheetah Girls. In 2012, Pruitt appeared on The Voice, joining Christina Aguilera's team before eventually stepping away from her music career several years later.

Her history with Disney became particularly contentious in 2019, when Pruitt sued Disney, Hollywood Records and her former manager Keith Thomas. She alleged that Thomas sexually abused her beginning when she was 14 and accused the companies involved of failing to protect her. Thomas has denied the allegations.
