Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 3 has received its first teaser trailer at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, with star Walker Scobell describing the upcoming Disney+ season as the darkest instalment yet.

Scobell, who plays Percy Jackson, took the stage at the Honda Center alongside an army of Artemis’ hunters.

Surprise guests Ming-Na Wen, who plays Hera, and Andra Day, who plays Athena, also appeared during the presentation ahead of the season’s November 20 premiere.

“This season is a lot darker than any season we’ve had before,” Scobell said. “I think, at least for Aryan [Simhadri], Leah [Sava Jeffries], me, Charlie [Bushnell]… everyone that’s always coming back every season is awesome because we just get another chance [to do it again].”

He added, “Season 2 was coming out while we were filming Season 3, so we would get live updates on what people think we could do better, and we would just do it better. So it was really awesome to get to do that. It’s fun.”

The teaser gives viewers a first look at Percy’s search for Annabeth, whose sudden disappearance becomes central to the new season.

It also introduces new characters and previews the growing conflict with the Titans, alongside new trials and adventures.

Season 3 is adapting The Titan’s Curse, the third book in Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson series.

The story also introduces the Great Prophecy from the Oracle of Delphi, which foretells that a child of one of the “Big Three” will determine the fate of Olympus, with their own life at stake.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 3 premieres on Disney+ on November 20.
