Artist celebrates I-Day in unique style

Performs in flag-themed attire, sings national songs and stages march-pasts

Everyone has their own way of celebrating Pakistan's 79th Independence Day, and local young artist Shahid Golden has adopted his own distinctive style.

Near Commercial Market in Satellite Town, the local artist can be seen celebrating Independence Day in his own way amid the crowds.

From 11am until midnight, the artist performs in Commercial Market, Satellite Town, turning his unique way of celebrating Independence Day into a source of livelihood. Citizens, passers-by and children, impressed by his performances, give him "good Eidi" and financial support.

The artist has dressed himself in an outfit resembling the national flag. Holding a large national flag in one hand, he stands in the middle of Satellite Town Road and raises slogans of "Pakistan Zindabad". At times he sings national songs and anthems, drawing appreciation and financial assistance from passers-by.

The artist now earns a living by giving daily performances in new outfits on Satellite Town roads. Families and children coming out after buying Independence Day cakes and sweets from a large local bakery in Commercial Market routinely appreciate his performance and help him financially.

Children also take pictures, make videos and record TikToks with him.
