European Union, Pakistan reaffirm democratic values

Pakistan and the European Union have reaffirmed the importance of democratic values, the rule of law, and the protection of human rights as shared priorities and agreed on the need to further strengthen mutual cooperation and engagement, Radio Pakistan reported on Tuesday.

The understanding was reached during a meeting between Minister for Law Azam Nazeer Tarar and Member of the European Parliament Ondrej Dostál.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the importance of further strengthening positive and constructive Pakistan-EU relations and promoting parliamentary engagement between the two sides.
