Ewan McGregor reveals playful baby gift idea for pregnant Anne Hathaway

Ewan McGregor is considering a dinosaur-themed gift for Anne Hathaway, who is expecting her third child, after the actors worked together on the upcoming film The End of Oak Street.

McGregor spoke to PEOPLE on Aug. 9 at the world premiere of the dinosaur-filled science-fiction thriller in Burbank, California. The actor admitted that he had not yet purchased a baby gift for Hathaway, but said the idea of getting her a present was a good reminder.

When asked whether the gift could have a connection to their new film, McGregor suggested a dinosaur-themed present. “A little stuffed dinosaur or something,” he said.

Hathaway announced her pregnancy in June. The actor and her husband, Adam Shulman, are already parents to sons Jonathan, 10, and Jack, 6. She revealed the pregnancy through an Instagram post on June 19, sharing a video in which she cradled her baby bump.

The actress has also received another entertainment-inspired baby gift during her pregnancy. While appearing on Today with her The Odyssey co-star Tom Holland in July, Hathaway was presented with a hand-knitted Trojan-themed outfit inspired by the upcoming film.

Hathaway became emotional while receiving the gift and described it as an appropriately epic present.

The actress has continued her professional commitments during her pregnancy, including promoting The End of Oak Street and The Odyssey. She is also set to appear in the upcoming film Verity.

An insider previously told PEOPLE that Hathaway is focused on her family while preparing to welcome her third child. The source also said the actress remains grateful for her career and her current projects.
