Perez Hilton hospitalised after 'significant blood loss' that will require surgery in coming days, family said

Perez Hilton remains hospitalised in Florida, with his family confirming that his condition is “serious but stable” and that he will require surgery in the coming days following a medical emergency earlier this week.

In a statement published on Hilton’s website on Saturday, his family said his communication has been “extremely limited” and is currently restricted to immediate family, medical providers and others directly involved in his care.

“Perez's condition remains serious but stable. He experienced significant blood loss and sustained additional injuries that will require surgery in the coming days,” the statement said. “His treatment and recovery will be a long process.”

The family also said Hilton was able to spend time with his mother and sister while receiving treatment.

They asked members of the media, photographers, content creators and the public to stay away from the family home and stressed that updates published directly on PerezHilton.com should be considered the only credible information about his condition.

The latest update follows a livestream earlier this week in which Hilton appeared to be experiencing a severe mental health crisis and was seen with visible injuries.

Deputies responded to his Florida home after the Miami-Dade County Sheriff's Office received “multiple calls regarding an individual who was livestreaming acts of self-harm on social media.”

His family previously said Hilton's children, niece and sister were inside the home shortly before the incident. They said the children left after it became clear that Hilton was experiencing a severe mental health crisis.
