'One Night Only' is packed with surprise celebrity cameos

Will Gluck's new romantic comedy One Night Only is filled with familiar faces, with more than a dozen actors, comedians and musicians making brief appearances throughout the film.

The movie stars Monica Barbaro and Callum Turner as New Yorkers Allie and Owen, who set out to find someone to hook up with on the one day each year when premarital sex is legally permitted. Their chaotic search leads them into encounters with a string of unexpected celebrities.

Several stars from Gluck's previous romantic comedy Anyone But You make appearances, including Glen Powell and Sydney Sweeney, who are seen in photographs connected to the film's dating-app storyline. Michelle Hurd, who also appeared in Anyone But You, returns as a police officer.

Pete Davidson and Bobby Cannavale appear together while filming a fictional crime show, only for Owen to accidentally disrupt their scene. Julia Fox plays a bartender who offers Owen both advice and a proposition, while Nicholas Braun appears as a tech entrepreneur who tries to impress Allie with his unusual business idea involving sex sensors.

The film also features Jay Ellis and Ben Marshall, with Ellis' appearance creating an unexpected Top Gun: Maverick reunion with Barbaro. Ziwe Fumudoh and Este Haim play intimidating bouncers, while Roma Maffia appears as a bodega owner.

Comedian Mike Birbiglia rounds out the cameo list as a police officer who helps Owen after he is robbed, while Hurd's character later takes Allie's statement following another chaotic encounter.

With its rapid-fire appearances from recognisable stars, One Night Only turns its outrageous premise into an opportunity for a parade of unexpected celebrity cameos, giving audiences plenty of familiar faces to spot beyond the film's central romance.
