ISLAMABAD:

Pakistan's National Cultural Narrative, "Naqsh-e-Watan", was launched at a ceremony held at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA), Islamabad on Thursday.

Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture, Aurangzeb Khan Khichi inaugurated the initiative, which he described as a historic milestone towards safeguarding Pakistan's rich cultural heritage and projecting the country's authentic cultural identity to the world.

He emphasised that Naqsh-e-Watan is not merely a cultural initiative but a comprehensive national development vision, as culture plays a vital role in generating employment, promoting tourism, increasing exports, strengthening rural economies, empowering women economically and preserving traditional crafts. He called upon universities, the private sector, overseas Pakistanis and citizens to collectively promote the National Cultural Narrative across educational institutions, museums, cultural festivals, public spaces, and digital platforms.
