According to reports, police responded to Hilton's home on the evening of August 4 following concerns raised by people watching the livestream. Authorities were called after viewers believed he was in immediate danger. He was later taken to hospital, where he is receiving medical care.

Following the incident, TikTok confirmed that Hilton's account had been removed from the platform. A spokesperson said the livestream was detected by the platform's automated moderation system after several minutes. The livestream was subsequently ended after approximately 15 minutes, although TikTok acknowledged that a moderation error delayed its removal.

The platform has not announced whether the account suspension is temporary or permanent. The company has also not provided additional details beyond confirming that the livestream violated its policies and explaining the moderation timeline.

Hilton's family later released a public statement thanking supporters for their concern while asking for privacy during his recovery.

"Many of you have reached out with concern for Perez, and we are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming outpouring of love, support, and prayers," the statement said.

The family added, "We can confirm that Perez is receiving medical care, and our family's focus right now is on his well being. We kindly ask that you respect Perez's privacy, as well as the privacy of his family, during this difficult time. If and when we are able to share any updates, we will do so with everyone as soon as we can. Thank you for your compassion, understanding, and continued support."

The incident quickly drew widespread attention online, with many expressing concern after the livestream abruptly ended. Supportive messages appeared across social media as followers awaited an official update on Hilton's condition.
