Perez Hilton 911 audio reveals frantic response after livestream hospitalisation

Authorities confirmed crisis specialist assisted family after blogger was safely taken to local hospital for treatment

New details have emerged following Perez Hilton's hospitalisation after authorities released information about the emergency response to an incident at his Miami home.

According to statements from the Miami Dade Sheriff's Office, deputies responded after receiving multiple calls concerning an individual who appeared to be experiencing a mental health crisis during a social media livestream on the night of August 4. Emergency responders were dispatched to the property, where they spoke with family members before working to resolve the situation safely.

Law enforcement said deputies prioritised de escalation techniques while monitoring the situation. Officials explained that incidents involving people experiencing an apparent mental health crisis are handled by creating time, distance and opportunities for communication whenever possible.

Authorities later confirmed that Hilton was safely recovered and transported to a local hospital to receive medical attention.

In a follow up statement, the sheriff's office said its Crisis Response Unit and licensed mental health professionals were also deployed to support the individual's family during the incident.

Separate reports stated that 911 dispatch audio documented multiple emergency units responding to the home after viewers watching the livestream contacted authorities out of concern.

Hilton has not personally commented since the incident. His representatives at Golden Artists Entertainment released a statement confirming they were aware of the situation while stressing that their immediate priority was his wellbeing.

"We are aware of the concerning content circulating online involving our client, Perez Hilton," co CEOs Dante Rusciolelli and Rebekah Kochan said.

"At this time, we have not been able to make direct contact with him, despite our ongoing efforts to reach him. Our primary concern is Perez's health and well being, as well as the well being of his family."

The representatives added that they would not speculate while awaiting confirmed information and asked that Hilton's privacy be respected.

Earlier, Hilton's family also shared a public statement confirming that he was receiving medical care. They thanked supporters for the messages of concern and asked for privacy while he focuses on his recovery.

The incident came only weeks after Hilton announced that he and his family had permanently relocated to Miami. In a social media video shared in June, the celebrity blogger explained that the move felt right for himself, his three children and his mother, noting that Miami had always felt like home despite living elsewhere for many years.
